MWV Climber’s Cooperative lifetime membership benefits include:

Be a part of the financing effort that eventually opens the doors of the Co-op space!
Access to a bouldering and training facility in the Mount Washington Valley.
Purchasing a lifetime membership gives you the ability to purchase access passes to the co-op once a facility is open.
Members will have the ability to purchase a limited number of day passes for non-member friends or family members.
Have voting and decision making stakes regarding the direction of the co-op at the annual members meeting.
Enjoy a temperature controlled space to climb no matter what the weather is doing outside any day of the year.
Maintain climbing fitness year round.
Be a part of an incredible community of climbers in the MWV and enjoy the camaraderie of other climbers, make new friends, and have a place to gather with existing friends to push each other and grow as climbers.
Free access to Co-op hosted events such as competitions, slideshows, films, community gatherings and more!

Responsibilities & Expectations

MWV Climber’s Cooperative lifetime membership responsibilities & expectations:

The co-op is owned and managed by its community of members. Once a facility is open, upkeep and maintenance of that facility is up to the participation of its members. In order to keep the climbing gym in high quality, it is the duty of each member to have the integrity, commitment, and personal accountability to make sure that the facility is in good repair. We hope to keep the costs of access low because members give back to the community and the facility by taking good care of it. If this changes, access fee structures will have to change as well.

Each member will be expected to contribute time each month that they are utilizing the facility, to the upkeep of the co-op. If a member is only purchasing day passes, the expectation will be that they contribute an equitable amount of “service” to the co-op for their amount of use. There will be a list of regular duties and tasks posted in the co-op and members can sign and date when they have completed one of these tasks. Tasks could include vacuuming, cleaning holds, maintaining the cleanliness of the bathroom, cleaning windows, general tidying up and whatever else is needed
Additional opportunities to volunteer your time to benefit the co-op will be available. These could include helping with route setting, assisting with co-op events, and more!
It is the responsibility of each member to be aware of the bylaws that govern the Co-op and abide by them.

Because membership requires democratic duties and responsibilities to the cooperative, memberships are available to adults only. However, adult members will be able to purchase family access passes. Through family passes and/or punch cards purchased by adult members, those under the age of 18 will be able to use the facility with adult co-op member supervision.
